What a great system, I was able to keep myself undetected from this great bull at 35 yards and with a slight breeze blowing" " I was using a custom scent of some elk urine that I had found in my tracking of the herd earlier that week.
Thanks for such a great system; it defiantly takes top grade in my book.
I got this guy in yesterday, called him in to 21 yards, and just figure i let you know how well your blend-n-in worked I kept covering myself in it and it worked. Thanks, and good luck.
I arrived at hunting camp after dark, not ever hunting this area before, I had no idea what the terrain held for the hunt in the morning. Having coffee before day break our hunting party discussed what direction each would be taking, leaving me with the burn area that was steep and everyone warned that you did not want to drop off the side of it. I blended up some pine and burnt timber scent before attempting the decent down the nasty burnt terrain. Unfortunately I had the wind to my back and tried to side hill while calling when I saw movement below and it was a 6x6 bull. The arrow nailed him from 50 yards.
I believe that the scent mixed up before the hunt helped me get close enough for the shot without being winded. Truly it was a great morning to be bow hunting in Eastern Oregon. This is the second year I've used Blend-n-in to make my own scent and have filled my elk tag with a bull elk, last year harvesting a 4x6 at 15 yards with my bow. Thanks Allan for Blend-n-in.
I was using Blend'N In Juniper and Pine during my 2006 Elk rifle hunt in Eastern Oregon. Before heading into the woods, we all sprayed down with our home made blended scent.
Within 45 minutes we were into elk. Myself and my hunting partner took the opportunity and killed two gorgeous 5-Point bulls. These bulls were within 75 yards. Having just sprayed the Blend'N In Pine and Juniper cover scent, I can only think these guys would have busted us without it.
Thanks Allan for a great and simple product. By the way those two bulls were our first ever Rocky Mountain Bulls.
While hunting Muledeer in central Oregon, I made up some Manzanita cover scent, which proved to be lethal. After a two hour wait in my stand, I had two dandy bucks come within 20 yards of me before I took this brute at 16 yards.
Filtering the dirt that an elk had urinated in made for a great cover scent that I used just prior to harvesting this gorgeous bull.
Not only can antelope see great, they have a fantastic sense of smell as well. This buck came in down wind, and if it wasn't for the sage scent that I had made from the Blend'n In system, I wouldn't have had a chance. Thanks for a great product!!!!
After seeing the 'Blend N' In' product in action, I was convinced that Allan was on to something here. My old Central Oregon mule deer stomping grounds is covered in manzanita and Allan mixed me up a bottle of that manzanita cover scent. Once I smelled this brew of manzanita and local stream water, I swore I was sitting up there at my favorite glassing ridge waiting for a buck to appear. What a cheap and effective cover scent for hunting those Central Oregon bruisers.
Instead of spending over $5.00 for small, over the counter scents, I'm going to have a pack full of different cover scents and attractants that I created for my own area.
Great idea Allan! Now why didn't I think of that!
